Permaculture Awa

The Permaculture Awa Farm is located in the small coastal village of Hanazono near Wada, Minamiboso-shi in Chiba prefecture.  It is a one acre farm with a timber school-house type structure, a large greenhouse, a rice paddy and a small orchard.  It lies 15 meters above sea-level and has a warm-temperate climate.  The property is bordered by a river and is about a 7 minute walk to the Pacific Ocean.  



The Farm is still in the developmental stages, providing many opportunities for hands-on learning.  Visitors will get a feel for what its like to set up a permaculture farm and participate in the process.  



There are plenty activities to do off the farm as well such as surfing, hiking, and visiting the local izakaya.
