Now living onsite as a Permaculture Awa apprentice under mentor Phil in Hanazono, Chiba. Happily learning slowly everyday to become a big fuzzy ball of sustainable Love!
Phil sanded down the bricks of the arch to remove the black bits. He added the crisscross indentations with his trowel so that the final decorative layer will have something to grip onto. We fired up the oven to remove the excess moisture...and had a pizza party for dinner and baked bread for breakfast!
